The CRPF Head Constable Ministerial typing test is conducted for 10 minutes with a qualifying benchmark of 35 Net WPM in English or 30 Net WPM in Hindi. Backspace and arrow navigation are strictly locked/disabled on official test software. Evaluation follows a strict word comparison standard with zero half-mistake discounts. Mistakes up to 5% of total gross words typed are exempted as a free buffer. For every mistake beyond 5%, 10 words (50 key depressions) are deducted from gross words typed, reducing final speed by 1.0 Net WPM per excess error over the 10-minute duration.
