Conducted bi-annually by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE Pune), the GCC-TBC (Government Commercial Certificate in Computer Typing Basic Course) English 30 WPM speed passage is evaluated out of 40 marks. Candidates type a 300-word passage in 10 minutes. Each error (misspelling, omission, or extra keystroke) incurs a 1.0 mark deduction. Candidates must secure at least 16.00 marks (40%) to pass. Scoring 30+ marks (โค10 errors) awards prestigious Grade 'A', 24โ29.5 awards Grade 'B', and 20โ23.5 awards Grade 'C'.
Candidates must secure at least 16.00 marks out of 40 (40%) on the 10-minute speed test passage, while meeting the 30 WPM net speed benchmark.
MSCE Pune awards Grade 'A' for 75%+ (30.00 to 40.00 marks), Grade 'B' for 60% to 74% (24.00 to 29.50 marks), Grade 'C' for 50% to 59% (20.00 to 23.50 marks), and Pass Class for 40% to 49% (16.00 to 19.50 marks).
